"Shore" is nice to see you

June 30- Day 1: The road to Independence Day
Half day Friday surprise, jump on a casino bus to Atlantic City,
Slice of Mack and Manco's, feet touch sand, dolphins in the water, Ocean City at last!

July 1- Day 2: Matt's Birthday Extravaganza
Sleep the sleep of the just, slow morning, head to the beach and worship the sun,
Jessio's water ice, Honey Dew flavor for me, Happy hour on the porch,
watermelon martinis and the sunset, Niman Ranch steaks and lobster tails on the grill, Chocolate fondue and candles, guests, lots of presents,Happy Birthday to Matt!

July 2- Day 3: Shades
Early morning church wake up call for some but not for me.
Strabuk Sunday Pancake Breakfast tradition, followed by a
bike ride, then off to worship the sun again, but not before a Jessio's
Honey Dew water ice, thank you, beach is crowded with lots of loud mouths,
meditate as I turn another shade of brown, water is cold so only the toes make it in,
Happy hour on the porch, watermelon martinis and the sunset, pork roast on the grill,
happiness sets in for a while until the wedding guest list blues starts to play....

July 3- Day 4: The $1 tap
Start the day with wedding mathematics, not a good thing.
Cape May plans squashed, walk the boards for a Mack and Manco's slice, a visit to the Flanders, musty and dingey, followed by a cheesesteak at Dell's where we got charged $1 for tap water,
yes it's summer and 4th of July weekend but that's just greedy, NYC doesn't even do that, headache ensues, cured by tylenol and a nap, run to the beach to see Matt "surf", i watch in amazement, Happy Hour on the porch,
mini tacos, martinis, Corona's and the sunset, Beer can chicken on the grill,
late night dare to go in the water, it wasn't that cold. Strung up red, white, and
blue lights on the porch with ribbons, Independence day is coming, can you smell it?
